Now that the Palestinians have had their international legal status upgraded at the UN, what difference will it make? What will now happen with the so-called “peace process”? Will we see an end to the illegal occupation of Palestinian lands any time soon? And, how will this UN resolution make Israel more isolated? CrossTalking with Norman Finkelstein, Raanan Gissin and Rami Almenghari.

The problem is quite simple. Exclusivity mind-set. The Palestinians want the land that was granted Israel, excluding Jews entirely. Other Muslim countries have kept Jews out. The Israeli government ALSO wants all the land that was initially discussed at the end of WWI. By the end of the second world war, Israel was granted only a fifth of the land that was discussed initially. This mind-set of exclusivity is undermining the peace process and this person here does no believe that a two-state solution will work until BOTH sides give up this mentality. We saw this in WWII with the Nazis, Germany for Germans. It seems to me that this is what is going on in this conflict. Has anyone ever suggested the idea of Jerusalem being the capital for BOTH states? Neither side will have anything to do with that idea. Exclusivity is the problem and there will be no peace in the region until people on both sides develop a different mind-set,

Whoever speaks the truth about Israel's real motives is called a liar by Israelis.  I am enjoying the reeling of reactionary Jews to the inevitable truth that Palestinian Statehood is here to stay.
