We back your stance Pres Zuma - Assad should stay. Why is peace fast becoming an antiquated word foreign to our lips and soon to be left out of our vocabulary altogether? Could BRICS not mediate & help to broker peace in Syria & effectively assist her rebuilding? Sure Iran too will be more than ready to help. Peace in Syria could set the concilliatory tone needed for diplomatic negotiations, making peace possible in the region.
The Middle East countries should be left to sort out their problems without interference of the US, UK, Israel, Saudi & Qatar.
Please Pres Obama, back off, then others will follow suit!

Assad has held on for 2 yrs & still is. Syria must resolve it's own conflict possibly with Russia as mediator. But US must cease meddling in MEast & Africa as the World knows war on Syria is to get at Iran.
Give credit that Pres Zuma knows the tragedy of Africa. He experienced it first hand. The West's arrogance & greed blinds them to the destruction colonization wreaked on a poor & defenseless Africa plundered for her natural wealth & toll on her peoples. So Zuma wants peace for Syria not more war. After what the US did to Libya, the AU, backed by BRICS should institute a Policy of Non-Interference in Africa.
