Welcome to Russia’s wildest 24-hour race

The annual Red Fox Adventure race involves riding on bikes, kayaking, climbing and running, and has been held for the tenth time close to the Russia-Finland border.

Every year the Red Fox Adventure race takes place somewhere new. And every year it becomes more and more difficult, dangerous and extreme. This time it was on the Russia side of the Karelia region known for its savage and beautiful scenery.

The competitors were forced to burst through various obstacles en route covering a distance of almost 300 kilometers on mountain-bikes, kayaks and on foot with many checkpoints along the way.

Despite the fact that more than a third of the 64 teams failed to reach the finish-line it was clear that everyone was happy just to take part. It is now the biggest and most prestigious adventure race in the country.
