Russian basketballer Aleksey Shved has scored an NBA career high of 22 points in the Minnesota Timberwolves away loss to Golden State Warriors.
The Timberwolves were trailing from the start, nearly catching up with their rivals with four minutes remaining after Shved's run.
But the Warriors were the better side on the night, collecting a 106-98 victory.
Meanwhile, Shved finished the game with 22 points and seven assists, which is so far his best display in America.
The Russian joined Minnesota from CSKA Moscow after the London Olympics, where his country’s team bagged bronze.
The 23-year-old has already made nine appearances in the NBA, scoring 10.4 points per game on an average.
Meanwhile, another Russian in the Timberwolves lineup, Andrey Kirilenko, helped his team with 18 points in San Francisco.
Minnesota currently sit sixth in the Western Conference, with five wins and four losses.
