With three months to go before Team Russia begin their title defense at the European Basketball Championships in Poland, their coach David Blatt is looking for a new second job.

The Israeli specialist has terminated his contract with Dinamo Moscow, after just one season in charge. Dynamo finished third in the regular season this year, which got them into the play-offs, but they didn’t go far, losing to Spartak St Pete in the quarter-finals.

Blatt was supposed to stay with the Muscovites for at least one more year, but changed his mind.

The club's management let him go by mutual consent, after the Eurobasket-winning coach said he fancied a job elsewhere.

He has been linked with a move to CSKA Moscow, but the side has refused to comment on the matter.

Whatever happens, Blatt should have his hands full for the time being with coaching the national side.
