The German pugilist Manuel Charr believes he’ll face the strongest heavyweight on the planet in his clash with Vitaly Klitschko this September.
"Vitaly Klitschko is the world champion. The strongest boxer in the world,” Charr stated. “He is stronger than his brother, Wladimir, but I am not frightened. I only fear god. I will work out a plan for the fight with my trainer and we'll see happens on the day."
Vitaly Klitschko holds the WBC championship title, while his brother Wladimir is the owner of all the other heavyweight belts.
Charr, a Syrian-born German, started his professional career in 2005 and has since recorded 21 wins without a loss to his name. His Ukrainian rival, meanwhile, has stepped in the ring 46 times as a pro, winning 44 of those contests.
The boxers will step into the ring at the Moscow’s Olimpiysky Arena on September 8, which will the first ever Klitschko bout in the Russian capital.
