The best pound-for-pound boxer Manny Pacquiao will face WBO welterweight champ Miguel Cotto in the ring on November 14, Fightnews.com reports.
“Manny Pacquiao and Miguel Cotto have reached an agreement to fight at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas on Saturday, November 14,” said Bob Arum, CEO of Top Rank boxing promotion company, said.
“Top Rank is working on a major media tour to start right after Labor Day. Further details will be announced as we get closer to kicking off the tour,” he added.
Manny “PacMan” Pacquiao (49-3-2, 37 KOs) of the Philippines has won six world titles in as many different weight divisions ranging from 112 to 140 pounds. He had his last bout this May, beating defending junior welterweight champion Ricky Hatton with a one-punch second-round knockout
Puerto Rican Miguel Cotto (34-1, 27 KOs) has held a world title every year since 2004. He retained his WBO welterweight title with a grueling split decision win over Joshua Clottey of Ghana at Madison Square Garden in June.
