Elder Klitschko fined for smuggling

Meanwhile, Wladimir’s brother, Vitaly Klitschko, was fined for smuggling on Friday, the German 'Bild' newspaper reports.
The WBC champion has to pay € 1,500 to German customs service for bringing an expensive watch and a bag into the country, without declaring them.
According to German law, a traveler has to declare all goods that cost more than € 440.
Sebastian Cording says he has already appealed against the fine. He explained that the IWC watches were presented to Klitschko at Laureus World Sports Awards last year, and the Montblancs bag was a gift from his wife Natalia, who bought it in Dusseldorf.
The lawyer has submitted the gift certificate from IWC, and the cheque from the shop where the bag was purchased.
The watch and the bag were confiscated from the boxer.
“I am happy they didn’t take my shoes, for which I paid $ 1.500, and I didn’t have to go home barefooted,” Vitaly Klitschko noted.
The boxer was detained in Frankfurt am Main airport at the end of March. He came to Germany to congratulate his brother on his birthday and attend an AC/DC concert.
