Arguably the best pound-for-pound boxer in the world, Floyd Mayweather Jr., has begun serving a three-month jail term for an attack on his ex-girlfriend.

The five-division world champion is most likely to serve the most of his time away from other prisoners in a solo cell in the Clark County Detention Center, Las Vegas.

According to Mayweather’s lawyers, the boxer’s term may be reduced to two months in case of good behavior.

The champ spent the final hours before going to prison with his family, posting a photo with the daughter via Instagram.

“Me & my daughter spending precious time together before I leave my family, friends and fans,” Mayweather wrote under the picture.

The boxer got his prison term for an attack on his ex-girlfriend, Josie Harris, and verbal threats against two of his children with her back in 2010.

Mayweather Jr. is undefeated in his 43 professional bouts, in which he knocked out 26 of his opponents.

The jail-term should be extended, 3 months only is too short.
