The world’s best heavyweight, Wladimir Klitschko, has revealed the names of the fighters he wants to beat in the coming months.
“At the end of the year I will face either Chris Arreola, who has recovered well from the loss against Vitaly. He knocked a lot of guys out,” Klitschko said in an interview with CBS Sports network. “And I want to introduce you to Seth Mitchell, an undefeated American fighter.”
Arreola fought Wladimir’s elder brother Vitaly Klitschko back in 2009 and lost by a TKO in the 11th round.
The Mexican-American has had nine bouts since that defeat ending most by a knockout.
As for Seth Mitchell, the US boxer has won 24 of his 25 matches and had one bout – against Alvaro Morales back in 2008 – end in a draw.
But before dealing with Arreola and Mitchell, the Ukrainian has to defend his WBA, IBF and WBO titles against another US boxer – mandatory challenger, Tony Thompson.
All the tickets for the match to take place at a football ground in Bern, Switzerland on June 7 are sold out.
