Dick Advocaat couldn’t lead Russia to the Euro 2012 playoffs, but the Dutchman is still the winner if one takes a look at his bank account.

His side have managed just one victory in Poland and Ukraine, but, according to Novaya Gazeta, it didn’t prevent Advocaat from receiving almost €7 million for the past year.

This sum is twice as much as any of his counterparts at the tournament.

For example, the joint salary of the coaches of Czech Republic and Greece, who sent Russia packing at Euro 2012, is just €700.000.

Italy’s manager Cesare Prandelli sits second on the list, earning  €3 million – but unlike Russia – his squad reached the Last 8.

Germany's Joachim Loew completes the top three, with the annual salary of €2.5 million.

While Croatia boss, Slaven Bilic, who will be in charge of Lokomotiv Moscow next season, was the lowest paid Euro 2012 coach, with just €160,000 added to his account.

The salaries of the national team coaches at Euro 2012:

Poland – Franciszek Smuda – €300.000
Czech Republic – Michal Bilek – €200.000
Greece – Fernando Santos – €500.000
Russia – Dick Advocaat – €7 million
Germany – Joachim Loew – €2.5 million
Portugal – Paulo Bento – €1.5 million
Holland – Bert van Marwijk – €1.8 million
Denmark – Morten Olsen – €390.000
Spain – Vicente Del Bosque – €1.5 million
Italy – Cesare Prandelli – €3 million
Ireland – Giovanni Trapattoni – €1.5 million
Croatia – Slaven Bilic – €160.000
Ukraine – Oleg Blokhin – $600.000
Sweden – Eric Hamren – €400.000
France – Laurent Blanc – €1.2 million
England – Roy Hodgson – £2.4 million

Russia needs to shed off the new Post-Soviet inferiority complex skin (unregistered) 21.06.2012 11:53

This is part of a deeper and more troubling trend in Russian society. The end of the Soviet Union gave way to a new society that does not believe in itself. This must end. Russia must end the practice of seeking foreign coaches, foreign experts in all fields. Only yesterday RT had an interesting story of how an American businessman is going to make millions by taking tourists to space by using old Soviet rocket! Why this would be done by a foreign businessman? However, this story also shows the Soviet Union was a leader in space field. Russia needs to fire this coach and must never hire a foreign coach for its national team in the future. Russia’ 2012 European football contest was shameful and this coach does not deserve even 10% of the what he is making.

By the way. Team of Czech Republic lost 1:4 with Russia, so technically their team have nothing to do with sending russians home. :) I don't even get it how they became 1 in group.

I am from Greece and i am sorry for disqualifying you.
Russia played very good and deserved this win.
For most of the time the ball was hanging in the Greek field.
Anyway i dont like either the players, they say they tried with greek passion and they maked happy off of the greece , but instead they did it for the 2m they shared.
They are some #R$(*548 who own lamborghinis and get thousand of euros every month while the monthly salary is now 500 €
