Brazil produced a stunning second-half comeback to beat USA 3-2 in the final of the Confederations Cup in South Africa.

Going into the half with a two-goal lead on scores by Clint Dempsey and Landon Donovan, the Americans conceded three times in the second half to lose the country’s first ever FIFA final.

Luis Fabiano scored twice for the Brazilians, while captain Lucio netted the game-winning goal just a few minutes before the end of the regulation.

After the game, USA’s Donovan admitted that Brazil deserved to win the Confederations Cup after their impressive second-half display.

"Give them credit, they kept coming wave after wave and they probably deserved it in the end," Donovan said, as quoted by goal.com. "It is disappointing, especially as we played so well in the first half."

Sunday's victory kept alive a seven-match winning streak for Dunga's side. The team's last draw was a 1-1 game against Ecuador in a World Cup qualifier in March. Brazil has not lost in 16 matches, since a 2-0 defeat at Paraguay in a qualifier in June 2008.
