Russians don't travel well. They are good at home but away from home they struggle. It is the same with the players. Most have been failures when playing in foreign leagues. They will do well with the World cup in Russia.

Capello is the best man for that job - quality, discipline, vision.

Dick Advocaat was just an empty suit - blah, blah but he could not deliver anything.

I have to agree somewhat with Stophiring... Russia seems to have a complex about being more like the West. They are just fine, with me, just as they are and being distinctive individuals. Surely there are some Russians who know how to win at football. Russians are quite capable. Russia, let the West come to you.

Stop hiring foreign coaches! (unregistered) 04.07.2012 12:30

Russia is becoming a joke when it comes to soccer. This is so despite hiring highly expensive foreign coaches. Russia is doing well in Hockey but the coaches are Russians. After the shameful exit of the Euro 2012, the Russians should ban hiring foreign coaches and instead coach their own players or stop playing in international soccer games altogether.
