The fastest own goal in the history of football was scored during an Estonian league match between Lavadia and Kuressaare.
The visitors’ defender Jaanis Kriska needed just five seconds to head the ball into his own net.
The previous record belonged to Dutchman Arnold Kruiswijk, who misplaced a back pass to the keeper that ended up in the goal after nine seconds.
But this was just the beginning of Kuressaare’s nightmare as Levadia added seven more goals in the remaining 89 minutes 55 seconds of the game. 8-0 for Levadia it ended.
Kriska came in to focus on the night again, when he was redcarded on the very first minute of the second half.
