Lone goal against Fulham was not enough for Russia’s Premier League side Amkar Perm to advance to Europa League group stage.
Amkar Perm 1-0 Fulham London (2-3 on aggregate)
Amkar was in control during the whole game, while the Londoner’s were paying the maximum attention to defense after a 3-1 victory in the British capital last week.
The hosts created some good chances, but failed to score till stoppage time with Bulgarian striker Martin Kushev putting his name on the scoreboard.
And the Siberian team had a great chance to turn things upside down in the dying seconds of the match. Aleksandr Zhilyaev was shooting from close range, but the ball went wide, to see Fulham progress to the Europa League playoffs 3-2 on aggregate.
