Russia’s coach Guus Hiddink has announced the list of 22 footballers taking part in the upcoming FIFA World Cup qualifiers against Azerbaijan and Lichtenstein.

Arsenal star Andrey Arshavin has been called up by Hiddink despite being injured in a Premier League match with Blackburn Rovers on Saturday.

Another man from England, Tottenham’s striker Roman Pavlyuchenko, is also on the squad.

The rest of the players – all familiar faces – represent the clubs of the Russian Premier league, which kicked of its 2009 season on March 14.

Russia faces Azerbaijan in Moscow on March 28 and then travel to Lichtenstein on April 1.

Hiddink’s lineup:

Goalkeepers – Igor Akinfeev (CSKA), Vladimir Gabulov (Dynamo), Vyacheslav Malafeev (Zenith);

Defenders – Alexander Anyukov (Zenit), Alexey Berezutsky, Vasiliy Berezutskiy, Yuri Zhirkov, Sergey
Ignashevich (all CSKA) Denis Kolodin (Dinamo), Renat Yanbaev (Lokomotiv);

Midfielders – Diniyar Bilyaletdinov, Dmitry Torbinskiy (both Lokomotiv), Igor Denisov, Konstantin Zyrianov, Igor Semshov (all Zenith), Alan Dzagoev (CSKA), Ivan Saenko (Spartak Mjscow), Sergey Semak (Rubin);

Forwards – Andrey Arshavin (Arsenal, England), Roman Pavlyuchenko (Tottenham, England), Pavel Pogrebnyak (Zenit), Dmitry Sychev (Lokomotiv).
