FC Krasnodar got Game Week 9 of the Russian Premier League off in style with an emphatic 6-1 thrashing of top-flight newbies from Mordovia.
Both sides were on a poor run of form as they entered the games, each being winless from their last five outings.
The teams exchanged early goals early, but after that it was one-way traffic in Krasnodar.
Home striker Yura Movsisyan managed a brace after just half an hour to become the league's outright top-scorer with eight goals.
More damage followed from defenders Aleksandr Martynovich and Dusan Andjelkovic, accompanied by a goal from Vladislav Ignatiev.
Late substitute, Wanderson, finished the demolition on 10-man Mordovia, who saw Evgeny Osipov sent off ten minutes from time, 6-1.
The win saw Krasnodar climb to 10th spot in the table, while Mordovia remain in the relegation zone, with only four points in the bag.
