AC Milan and Manchester City have agreed on striker Mario Balotelli’s move back to Italy. The former Inter Milan star joins their biggest rivals for an alleged 22 mn euros.
AC Milan's director Umberto Gandini confirmed the move Tuesday.
The 22 year old, who spent his final day at City in London preparing for the Premier League game against Queens Park Rangers, will have a medical in Milan on Wednesday before signing his four-and-a-half-year contract.
An initial transfer fee of 22m euros is believed to be rising to 25m euros with add-ons.
Balotelli, who is regarded one of the most talented young strikers in Europe, has spent the last 30 months in England.
Despite winning the Premier League in 2012 this part of his career will be most remembered for his never-ending conflicts with City head coach Roberto Mancini and numerous other off-pitch scandals.
