What the video doesn't tell you is what, or who, provoked the violence. I've seen quite a few clashes between football supporters in my time, and almost always there is provocation of some sort. Did the stewards say something or threaten somebody? I find it hard to believe that the Russian supporters, having watched their side win 4-1, violently attacked the stewards without any provocation at all.

I also am aware that many Poles, Czechs and other former Soviet countries are often discourteous towards Russians, blaming them for years of Soviet oppression. I wonder if the stewards demonstrated some of that hostility?

I know it was Polish fans who shot this appalling video and pointed to the Russian "fans" as the perpetrators. I do not have a reason not to believe them especially that you can see for yourself from which group the attackers were (Russian flags, the way they dressed, etc.)

The Russian gangs attacked yesterday the staff of the stadium in Wroclaw. Who has allowed them to enter the Polish?

The Russian Football team was in full flow yesterday. Their brand of football was soft on the eye; indeed eye-pleasing ! Unfortunately, the Czech's were no match. Ashavin was a marvel to watch once again, pulling the strings! I strongly suggest to his Agent/Agents to try all they could and get him playing at Barcelona next football season. He's a talent perfectly suited to the Barca game. Don't let his talent wither and die out of frustration!

Congratulations Russia, you played well and you earned the victory!!! Czechs were not bad but technically you played much better. Russian team has a potential to beat Spain. Poland will be out they were pretty successful to show that they are biggest loser of Euro 2012.

Against Italy Russia where good against the Czechs they were very very good. And it wasn't just the goals it was the way the Russian team played the game. As soon as they had the ball(whether they had the game won or not) they were off into the attack. A real pleasure to watch and a big surprise to see such excellent football so early in the competition.
