Emmanuel Emenike has scored twice in Spartak Moscow’s 2-0 win against visiting Rostov. The goal spree came on Matchday 9 of the Russian Premier league.

Spartak Moscow 3-1 Rostov

After taking it to Barcelona in the Champions League on Wednesday, Spartak didn’t find the side from Rostov-on-Don anywhere near as much of a challenge.

A brace from Emenike and another goals from Ari allowed Spartak to win comfortably at the Luzhniki stadium.

Rostov could only master a conciliation goal, which came through Florent Sinama-Pongolle two minutes from time.

Rubin Kazan 1-0 Kuban Krasnodar

All the memorable events of the game between Kazan and Krasnodar occurred in the opening half.

The first 45 minutes saw straight red cards for Kuban’s Dealbert Ibanez and home player Gokhan Tore, as well as a stoppage time goal from Rubin’s defender Salvatore Bocchetti.

The wins see Spartak and Rubin sitting in sixth and seventh position in the table, respectively.
