KAMAZ grab lead at Silk Way Rally

Russia’s Vladimir Chagin has overtaken Gerard de Rooy in the overall trucks standings of the Silk Way Rally, after leading the field in the Third Stage
The KAMAZ driver finished 17 seconds ahead of the Dutchman in the first special stage, before winning the second by almost two-and-a-half minutes.
The rally took the teams on a 547-kilometre course from Buguruslan in Russia to Ouralsk in Kazakhstan on Monday.
And Nasser Al Attiyah has increased his advantage in the cars section.
The Qatari extended his overall lead over Carlos Sainz to 3 minutes and 56 seconds, after winning the day's first special stage and finishing runner-up in the second.
The event, which will span three countries – Russia, Kazakhstan and Turkmenistan – started in Kazan on the weekend, and is due to finish on September 13 in the Turkmen capital, Ashgabat.
