RT report in the russian media style: making statements rather than presumptio ns. Nobody knows if she really has a love of her life in Moscow and just because she says so- it doesn't automatically make it true. Lithuania invested heavily in providing the best possible conditions, and the sportsmen of this level earn enough to live very confortable life. There is a full interview available, but RT chooses to use the parts they see fit to form negative opinion about the Lithuanian sports authorities. I know some good sportsmen who are being lured by bigger countries with money but resisted because they have more self respect. This practice by show-off countries like russia, china or usa is a shameful exercise which undermines the very essence of olympics-  the sport.

This story is neither about love nor money, but just one more dreary example of serial Russian Baltic bashing.
No...Marzipan...Th is is a story about vindictive Baltic crybabies feeling sorry for themselves at the expense of one of their own people...The poor woman  is still Lithuanian and she always will be regardless of who she competes for or who she marries....I can't believe your people would be so vindictive as to punish one of your own for marrying who she wants...

My goal is NOT to have a family.  I don't think it's every woman's dream.  It sounds more like a nightmare to me.

Donata! The people of good will support you and congratulate you for taking a stand for your feelings, your heart, and for having the integrity of withstanding the actions of people who just envy your high standards in and off the ambit of sports. Certainly my admiration goes to you!
