Russia's tennis star Nikolay Davydenko has moved up to eighth in the world rankings after capturing his second title in as many weeks.
Davydenko lived up to his top billing at the Croatian Open.
He beat Juan Carlos Ferrero from Spain in the final, 6-3 6-0, to follow up his success at the German Open from the previous week.
The 250 ranking points were enough for Davydenko to move up to the eighth place in the world.
If he keeps that spot he will qualify for the men’s ATP Tour finals at the end of the season in London.
