Former WTA No. 1 Maria Sharapova has once again put off her comeback as a recurring shoulder injury continues to give her trouble.
The Russian won't be playing in next week's Italian Open or the following Madrid Open, which she initially planned to use as a warm-up for the upcoming Roland Garros, which starts May 25.
Sharapova has not played a singles match since last August after surgery on her right shoulder.
She has slipped in the world rankings to number 64 since then.
