28.02.2012 22:13

Virginia, I have to assume you are very uninformed as to the makeup of the house... It has a far left wing membership. To ever even think that too many politicians on the far right as you say, would ever try and over turn our right to free speach is obsurd.

As of January 5, 2014:

232 Republicans
201 Democrats
0 Independents
2 Vacancies

I have you assure you that YOU are uninformed, sir.

his people and killed elderly, sick, mentally and physically " inadequate" with doctors. then he killed the "weaker" races. he was an incredible speaker and leader and he lured the people to do his bidding for him, and now or fate will be the same.

as if enough of our rights arent being tajen away now we can't even voice our distress. I'm sure they do need guards with their need to control and destroy our lives someone one is bound to want to hurt them. we don't even have the opportunity to vote for these things, "our" government decided everything for us right. what we eat, wear, or think. this isn't America anymore. Hitler took away weapons, forced healthcare on

The right is always blamed for supporting the second ammendent. They are being blamed for trying to save the American Peoples butts from Obama care. Business, Unions and the govt. reps and workers are all exempt. Leaving you to pay for it.

So much for representation, when you can't disagree with what your rep says, eh?

Obviously with a 388 to 3 vote in the House..this is a veto proof bill, as is the NDAA approved every year overwhelmingly on a bi-partisan basis. The only thing left for a President is to issue a signing statement to parts of the bill of which he doesn't agree. I suppose he could veto these bills. Congress would over ride the veto. This is the balance of power in our government. Yet, too many politicians on the far right and those that should know better, like the author of this op-ed, blame the President for the laws passed by Congress and underhandedly present his signing statement it as an apology.

whatt oh no

I'm sorry, but this article is falsely interpreting the law.

"or so that, such conduct, in fact, impedes or disrupts the orderly conduct of Government business or official functions;"

A "peaceful protest" is it is stated, will not interrupt the operation of government. Now if a police offic,,,,or thanks the the NDAA a military officer does arrest you. it is not lawful even according to this law, unless you were "in fact" disrupting the proceedings.

All of the Bill of Rights must not be infringed upon or it will set a devastating precedence.
