I personally love sarcastic women. Especially if they are dripping with sarcasm, it compliments my own dry humor. Sadly, I found this facetious article to not be sarcastic. Maybe if you were a guy.

wow, i was doing a google search for 'dry sarcastic women' in order to find sites on which it might be appropriate to post a notice about my book "This Will Not Look Good on My Resume" because I'm having trouble finding 'my' readers.  The main character is Brett, a woman with an attitude - a dry, sarcastic, attitude!  
So it was interesting to read your comments - now I know why I'm having trouble finding my audience!  Or at least now I know I'm not the only one having trouble finding sarcastic women - or at least people who 'appreciate' sarcastic women.  Anyway.

COming from a women's point of view .. ii have aLot of  "SARCASM" ... ii Think that it's so true though. Umm ii Love this blog because ii think that what your pin pointing is something us women think we don't have.. ii Notice that there are alot of women who do take things seriously and not jokes :) !! You said "It is interesting to me also that in person, my sarcasm is never mistaken for sincerity." so is it only in writing that your sarcasm is misunderstood?  If so it might be because sarcasm can sometimes be difficult to pick up in writing.  I know personally when I write sarcastically I need to almost explain what just happened so people know im being sarcastic but that is seldom the case in person.

Sarcasm is easily lost on those with little intelligence.

Simple answer, the Rabid Radical Feminist movement has discredited pretty much anything that Female activists in the US say, their rabid adherence to their idealogy and refusal to see reality, which sarcasm is based in, throws up a road block.

Its not because you are a women that you are not good at sarcasm, its because your American, the same goes for Irony.

This is the first post of yours that I've read and it makes me want to read more, sarcasm is sexy! I've never noticed that women aren't supposed to be sarcastic but then I've known many women with strong personalities.

Nothing wrong with sarcasm and inuendo's.  Makes the conversation more interesting.  I find myself being sarcastic as well, and a woman doing it, makes it sarcastically sexy!
