16.05.2013 15:51

The problem is not that there was a DOJ investigation, it is that it was overbroad (even getting records of calls to the House of Representatives cloakroom) and that there was no emergency requiring this type of seizure.

Th e nature of the records that the DOJ got were in long term storage that could not be accessed by the AP. There was no reason for the DOJ not to go through normal channels to get the limited access that would have satisfied their claimed needs.

I don't believe that AP did anything wrong.

Anonymous user 16.05.2013 20:21

What we know for sure is that the AP only publishes what the CIA approves!

Anonymous user 16.05.2013 20:17

This story just shows that the rationale: "national security," has no meaning any more. Overused.
