1. This has to be the worst spy in the history of spying. I mean what spy spends years learning a job only to be caught 1 week after being there? Then gives up all the info and his life over the past 10 years. Sounds more like IRAN has come up with some BS to again try and make them look better than they are.
2. The reason any sanctions are going on is those idiots have said if they could they would wipe Israel of the face of the earth. Do you really want someone like those idiots to have a bomb. If so fine, they will shoot then Israel will fire back and they the middle east will be gone for good.
3. Some of you folks have some real issues. I honestly hope most of your are idiot trolls. If not you need some real medical assistance.

I am an American, and honestly this website has more news about the US than the US. The US people are left in the dark, Obama has ruined the country (Bush didn't help either). I don't blame other countries for hating us, but the news here makes the US people think were helping so many countries and other places are attacking us. I believe Hekmati was set up.I believe he was sent there to be caught. So as to give Iran a reason to consider an attack.America want,s war with Iran.But it doesn,t want to be the instigator. Hekmati's story of his recruitment seems plausible. The CIA has long used the American military as a recruiting pool. In Air Force basic training, I was profiled as a possible candidate, I was given special testing, and having passed the test, I was offfered special language school. The only thing offered to me was to learn Cambodian.   It was 1973, and everything about the offer smelled of CIA involvement. Air Force personnel were preferred by the ex-Air Force officers working for the CIA that ran the CIA front Air America in Cambodia. I carefully refused to take the training, and after basic training was over I received a crappy job that almost certainly guaranteed that I would not re-enlist. Not only that, but I was not able to rejoin the Air Force. But that is somewhat a standard practice for the Air Force, as they are the service that most quickly gets rid of anybody they do not want. They are the service most involved with surveillance then, and so they are now.   I do not have a story to tell similar to Hekmati, since when I was made the offer to become involved, I was more cautious/smarter/mor e lucky or whatever was going on in my head that day to get trapped into a similar situation. Now Hekmati gets to sit in Iran and review his past life and see how he has been used for the benefit of others who viewed him as a useful idiot. At least I can say I was not a useful idiot.   I say this for the benefit of others who may be made similar offers to what I and Hekmati were made. This is not a rare occurrence, but hundreds each year are made offers that get them involved and get them more involved as time goes on if they have the qualities needed for the job. Once you are a "company man", you are in it for life, and that is something else that Hekmati has to deal with now.   The Iranians are not stupid enough to treat Hekmati the way that Dave in Canada wants them to treat him. You do not kill a golden goose that has landed in your lap.
