The Social Securit system was established in 1935 under the New Deal administration.Clearly a future pension in old age. Since 1935 not one cent has been put into escrow, nothing but IOU's. It was at first a tax upon the people with holding jobs. Actionally, money was stolen to spread long overdue ventures into then incipient Socialism. In fact, the spent money theme is still in force, in aiding the run-away budget affairs.As a result, the open theft goes onward..trillions of dollars owed, or stolen cannot not be recovered. What we have is fiat money, no backing by the the gold standard. Robbery of the elderly after sixty-five years of age, is a masterful criminal act in a Red-lined budget, of an inept system! gearshit

Taxing sugar, candies, chips, fast food, and basically anything high in fat, sugar or sodium, also tv's and video games that contribute to our sedentary (and unhealthy) lifestyles is an excellent idea. These would be sin taxes like those on tobacco and alcohol. And to promote good health, taxes on healthy products should be lowered
