That is exactly right!! politics IS interesting and also important.!!! THE most important thing in life is "AWARENESS"..and I mean, just the day-to-day type of awareness...!! you are aware of 'this' and you are aware of 'that'...type. It is awareness which gathers content and 'transforms like a pearl..into knowledge..!!when you have a whole string of these knowledge pearls, then and only then; you can have what is known as PERSPECTIVE.
