They have laws against abortion and even some forms of contraception if it prevents a fertilized egg from nesting - but a homeless human being can be left to freeze to death without any moral scruples. Strange morality.

Pensacola should provide shelters for homeless people and have a crew searching for homeless people in danger of freezing to bring them to the shelter. Surely, you would expect that much social services of a city authority and Department of Health.

In Denver, Colorado where it is below freezing during the winter as a matter of course, Councilman Albus Brooks , an African American man intorduced an anti camping ordinance on behalf of Mayor Michael Hancock, also an African American man and it was passed by City Council. Now a poor person who tries to protect themselves from the freezing cold can be thrown in jail if they dont "move along" when ordered by the police. There are about 850 shelter beds, councilman Brooks brags, but he forgets to mention that there are officially about 12,000 homeless peole living in the Denver area.

Florida's got to be one of the dumbest states of the union. All they have is cocaine, mickey mouse, sweltering heat, old people, swamps, and hicks. Take away the blankets of the homeless! Woohoo!

You forgot Sinkholes.

Well, it was either prosecute the bankers for the toxic mortgage/LIBOR/drug money laundering scams that have impoverished the world; or buy billion of bullets and tanks for cities and towns, fly soon to be weaponized drones over everywhere, and buy FEMA coffins to get ready for the resulting rioting and mass starvation.

Its official..criminaliz ing the poor & homeless! Pull the stats, a homeless person is worth more in a cage than an actual job! The USA false economy of cages & cops for people called development money is at an a all time epic low! Or high depending if you are invested in this kind of industry! Its a shame! Tax payers are paying to feed & house these people, but just in the most mid evil way! Epic fail!

Florida, you never cease to shock and amaze me. This is exactly why I left the very state I grew up in. Don't pray on something! What so-called praying Christian allows people to be cold because of some ignorant law you made? Help the homeless! Don't freeze them out!

For goodness sake build a hostel to house these unfortunate people, who have fallen on 'hard times' I feel sure thee authorities are rich enough to fund such a project ? They need help. Where is the good Samaritan?

Are the homeless allowed to cover themselves with the bodies of dead politicians to stay warm?

Lee Silgado 13.02.2014 02:38

Maybe this Counsel President needs to spend a night outside stripped of all dignity just trying to survive.

Herb Moyer 12.02.2014 20:41

Camping is for recreation, we're trying to survive. Let me sleep on the sidewalk or I'll come sleep in your warm bed.
