Google: NSA tactics bad for all American companies

14.11.2013 02:04

In its first congressional testimony since Edward Snowden leaked thousands of classified NSA documents, Google has warned against policies that would transform the internet from a free speech haven to a product of the surveillance state.

Lets test the metal of Microsoft & Google?

I have heard nothing from either of the said companies that convinces me they are really upset with NSA & GCHQ. I think they are playing games with their customers/clients.

...

Are you guys really on the side of Good or Evil?

They are on the side of their profits, and only their profits.

Get off your knees, Microsoft & Google, tell the NSA & GCHQ to get stuffed !! Show us that you really care!!

And then make an unequivocal statement in support of Mr. Edward Snowden.

Yo u have a duty, Microsoft & Google, to the good name of your companies and a duty to your millions of customers/clients who are not all mad life threatening nutters.

Are you guys really on the side of Good or Evil?

You are piling rumour. Aren't you overreacting?
I don't see a shred of evidence. Be precise!

Hey Google, maybe if you say "Spying is bad" enough people will forget you helped out the NSA to begin with, the fact you're building a database of your own, have stolen intellectual property, ruined several startup companies, continuing to sell personal information to other companies, drove around and collected information from unsecured WiFi in neighborhoods, and blackmailed people into paying top dollar for search result ranking for your pages.

Mayb e they'll think you're fighting for the average person.

LOL j/k all of you at Google are parasites.

Google's slogan "do no evil" make sense in the new wold of upside down arguments, where war is peace, slavery is freedom, cold winters is a sign of global warming etc..
Google is not my friend, never was..

It's funny you quoted 1984... I just got done reading that very quote last night. It's amazing how prophetic a piece of fictional literature written decades ago is in today's world.

&quo t;War is Peace. Freedom is Slavery. Ignorance is Strength." should be america's new motto...

Ju st remember... BIG BROTHER IS WATCHING YOU.

So whats next? A return to snail mail for privacy!
It is amazing the amount of money that the US is willing to spend on national security that it does not have!
It Is also amazing all the sheeple that are asleep or watching american idol or sports that don't know this is going on or don't think they need to care.
Soon speeding tickets will just come in the mail after you speed ( your car will report via the cars computer to the feds that you were speeding)! Maybe you will even be hauled in for questioning because you said some about the Govt. and a street , car or bus microphone herd you say it, and reported you!

" Google has warned against policies that would transform the internet from a free speech haven to a product of the surveillance state"

1. policies have already transformed the internet into a product of the surveillance state - that's a done deal.

2. Transparency - means "we're going to keep on doing what we're doing - but we'll let you know about it - it won't be so secret..." as if that's any consolation to the victims of the creepy, criminal surveilliance state.

Google should not even be represented here as an entitiy that respects privacy. They are actively using RFIDs in their Android and Glass products. Most concerning is Google's heavy investment in Navigenics, untilizing individual DNA to synchronize with computer applications, to map your personality, and to remotely track your emotions, etc. Those barges Google has been building off the U.S. coastlines are not hospitality suites for seafaring guests. Who needs the NSA when Google has far grander plans to completely shred all remnants of individual privacy and freedom of thought.
