If you go back 100 years ago, I think you will find that about half of all Americans who lived back then were poor as well. I think the big difference between then and now is that a lot of the poor people back then owned some land and their home so they were mainly cash poor. They grew, hunted and fished for a lot of their food, cut wood for fuel, and needed money for a lot fewer things than people do now. The problem for most of the poor these days is that they can't do all these types of things, even if they wanted to. The flight of the people from the land to industrial cities was bound to have serious repercussions eventually.

I do not know about rt's possible bias against estonians I have not noticed this.

As far as parliament in the UK is concerned they are a law unto themselves.  They represent themselves and there views are what becomes law.  In the Uk there has not been a change in Government for 32 years - just a change in personnel every now and then.

I was curious about his motivation previously, since those who agree with him would present no argument, and those who disagree are not likely to join him in his delusions. Even you do not argue that Estonia is the center of the world wide Neo-Nazi movement, probably that which is responsible for his ideas.

1. I seldom mention "nazi policies", and certainly am not offended by anyone else making comments about nazis.  

2. Associating Estonians with Nazis is a red herring that is periodically dragged out by RT and some uninformed posters on this board.  If anyone has a gripe against the nazis it is me because of what they did to my mother's (Russian) family.  I have known Estonians of all sorts all my life.  Some of them have called "poolvernik" (halfbred) or "tibla" (slur word for Russian) so I don't have any particular reason to be enamored with them.  But, I have to say that I have never ever met an Estonian nazi, or an Estonian who has expressed any sympathies or admiration for nazis.   

3.  Interesting that my relatives don't count as "British", but your government is proud to proclaim that the Africans and muslims in the UK are "British".

4.  My father's relatives are very grateful for UK's generosity in admitting them.  They were DPs (displaced people) in the British zone of occupied Germany and must have had some skills that UK wanted - otherwise they would have not been allowed into the country in 1949. 

5 . I totally disagree with the foolish decision of the delusionally naive parliament to make UK into a "multiracial" state without even having the decency of allowing the people to vote on this insanity.

@kihnu - You mentioned nazi policies in one of your posts yet are offended by someone else also using nazi policies.  Your relatives maybe from eatern europe and perhaps have had children in england.  Does that make them british?  At what point, at what generational cuttoff point should these people be deemed british.  The nazis, as you like their policies, I think went back several generations.

As far as your relatives in Manchester contributing to society through taxes a native british person could easily take up the reigns. A british person that your relatives are denying any opportunity for by displacement.

Wilson Boozer, perhaps it would help if you did a bit of sober research and find out:

(1) What happened to Estonia in 1939 when it was absolutely neutral and at war with nobody.

(2) As a result of unprovoked Soviet invasion and occupation, find out what happened to Estonia's own army, which did not oppose the invading Soviets because Estonia actually believed Moscow's assurances that it would respect Estonia's sovereignty.

(3) Then look into the savagery which Stalin unleashed upon the Soviet-conquered Estonia in 1940.

(4) This will give you an idea why Estonia couldn't possibly imagine in 1941 that its new conquers, its traditional enemy Germany, could possibly be any more horrific than the Soviets they temporarily replaced.

(5) Then ask yourself why, in 1943-44 when Germany was obviously losing the war, so many Estonians (who had no army of their own, remember, thanks to their earlier Soviet guests) fought in German uniform to try to prevent renewed Soviet horror falling upon them again.

(6) Then do a little research about the Waffen SS which were frontline soldiers as distinct from the regular SS, in which Berlin assigned them to fight  A good place to start is by Googling "Jewish Virtual Library", type "Waffen SS in its Search page, and read the article that opens. I draw attention to its following exerpt: "Towards the end of 1943, it became apparent that the numbers of volunteer recruits were inadequate to meet the needs of the German military, so conscription was introduced. The Estonian 20 Waffen-Grenadier-Div ision der SS is an example of such a conscript formation, which proved to be outstanding soldiers with an unblemished record."

(7) Then study the actual record of (as distinct from Russian propaganda about) war crimes in Estonia, including those committed by some Estonians,by Googling "Estonian International Commission for     Investigating of Crimes Against Humanity", hit the homepage link to the Max Jakobson Commission at the foot of the page, then hit the link entitled "Members invited by the president..." This will take you to fairly comprehensive links regarding war crimes in Estonia.

After you have actually learned a little about the the matter, perhaps you will view your post in a somewhat different light.

In all, 70,000 Estonian men served as part of the Nazi military machine. Estonia is currently the center of the world wide Neo-Nazi movement, of which you seem to be an eager member. Whatever your other credentials, it is obvious that you are a Nazi, a descendant at least spiritually of the barbarians who during World War II exterminated millions for their beliefs, ancestry or behavior, that is after stripping them of their eyeglasses, gold in their teeth and harvested their skin, fats and hair for industrial purposes. I am an East European, but I do not reside in the UK.         

Some of my father's relatives do live in Manchester, England. I am sure they found a comfortable home in UK because they are still there and have told their friends back home to come to UK.


You should not offend UK residents by telling them to start packing and leave UK.  Would your statement be a human rights violation pursuant to the EU Parliament?   

The post-war Brits threw their immigration doors wide open in anticipation of praise to high heavens, but now they are moaning, with your tear-filled eyes, that "foreigners" have come to dominate their labor market and their culture.

You Brits can't have it both ways: welcome poor uneducated people to migrate to UK, and then all of a sudden start hollering, "too many", "too many", "stop", "stop". 

I am sure that my "British" relatives are hard workers and contribute their fair share to the betterment of UK.  However, UK does have a reputation as being an easy mark for those who don't want to work, or are criminally inclined, because the Brits have put their necks in the yoke of the EU Parliament.

The USA needs to spend more of its annual revenues on providing adequate services to its population, the most important responsibility of any government, instead of persuing its plan for global hegemony. They need to stop fighting wars around the world and pull its military out of the 700+ bases is has around the globe. Stop the wars, slash the military budget, concentrate on defending yourself and improve the lifes of the US population and the USA may once again prosper.   The US goverment isnt a representative democracy, it is a representative oligarchy.  Washington has been hijacked by Wall Street and the military-industrial complex.   

@kihnu  What is it with you.  Its not that anyone is usless and should be killed for being unproductive.  Most can be productive if the chance is there.  I dont know where you are from but I will guess you are foreign.  There are plenty of foreigners in the uk.  They have been allowed to displace the indigenous population out of work and accommodation.  And have you noticed that they always claim "we are not on benefit".  Are you one of them?  If so perhaps you should be packing?

I think its about how much you earn against the cost of living.  You may remember when you lived with your parents 9as someone writes above) When the income was 45k and having brothers and sisters and living ok (not good, not bad) and then all going to college.  But they were different times.  I imagine that was a time before ronald reagen. Before deregulation, before banks took over the economy, before jobs were outsourced, and more importantly before the practical freezing of wages while the cost of living kept on rising.

Didnt some bankster or economister just a few weeks ago now, claim that what is needed is for the wages in the west to be on a par with the average chinese worker - well slowly but surely its happening.

BT W more than 50% of the uk population is poor and has been since thatchers time.

@aries31 I could say exactly the same thing for Italy. And perhaps in Italy is even worse, we have, since long time, people with highest degrees being jobless (and searching for work abroad).
In US I have seen people with no degree having great jobs, jobs  ;that in Italy you can only achieve if you are the son of the company CEO.
