isoHunt re-launched with millions of torrents just weeks after being shuttered

30.10.2013 02:48

Less than one month after isoHunt was shut down and its founder served with a $110 million fine, the BitTorrent site has triumphantly returned to the internet, resurrected by a web preservation group known only as 'ArchiveTeam.'

No, the author made very clear they were separate: But just when ArchiveTeam said it could not re-launch the site, another group - allegedly with no ArchiveTeam affiliation - managed to do just that.

Ac tually, literal quote from the article: "[...] the BitTorrent site has triumphantly returned to the internet, resurrected by a web preservation group known only as 'ArchiveTeam.'"

The article is certainly misleading.

It has changed slightly.. read the article again, but more carefully. You'll see two new addresses provided.

Just give the addresses then. If people didn't already find them by reading it, they clearly don't care about this lame misinformative article, but just want to go to the site.

Here you go: isohunt.to and isohunt.ee

The title of the post is "isoHunt re-launched with millions of torrents just weeks after being shuttered"

So no, the author did not make that clear. Quite the opposite.

To say its a 'new isoHunt', is like saying a Toyota Truck is like a new Rolls Royce. That site is a mediocre shell made by someone unknown to isoHunt, for all we know it could be a trap for the unwise. I know for a fact that none of the staff paid or voluntary from the old isoHunt, have nothing to do with this poorly made clone.

To clarify; ArchiveTeam is NOT in any way related to this 'relaunch'. This seems to be a mistaken assumption by the author of this article.

Th e data from the ArchiveTeam project has not been processed or published yet.

Feds are probably running it now, people who use that site should not trust it again.

Isohunt and other file sharing networks are nothing more than world-wide libraries and should be exempt from these greedy pricks in the entertainment industry acts of legal intimidation.
