I agree with Dempsey. There is no reason for Israel to attack Iran. Iran's new president is attempting diplomacy, and in general Iran has been much more cooperative with the west. The US must show Iran we wish to continue this confidence building by acknowledging our desire to avoid military conflict on Israel's behalf.

JCS General, Martin Dempsey, is absolutely right.

By 2024, there will be 2.1 billion Muslims on this Earth, and really, how many of them do we want angry at the West?

Bombi ng yet another Muslim country under (again) dubious WMD claims, might be enough to get all of them angry at us!

Is that in our best interest? Obviously NOT.

So far there is no proof that Iran has a bomb, or is looking to obtain a bomb.

Until then, we have no case against Iran.

And, many countries have nuclear bombs and we don't attack them!

As famous British statesman Tony Benn said; "All war represents [is] the failure of diplomacy."

This dumb-wit - won't have to!, the Iranians will be more than willing to whip his behind with their anti-ship cruise missiles.
