I've noticed headaches from even small amounts of "shelf" coffee from the brand names. Perhaps some Roundup or pesticide found it's way to my coffee cup??? I am not pleased. The coffee is in the garbage now.

An interesting research program is well on its way in the Free State where a parasite has been developed which thrives on the herbiside in Monsanto's maize seed. The plan is to have this introduced into that field to protect the adjoining non-gmo crop.from being contaminated by its neighbour. Field tests are current taking place around Bethlehem and so far seem to be achieving their objective. Hopefully this will put an end to the debate around wind cross polination litigation.

Of course monsanto will post huge profits every quarter from now until GMO is truly exposed for what it is. This so called food supply saviour, which many are hailing GMO products to be, has driven up the usage of all chemicals including pesticides by 11% or over 500 million pounds, and get this!!! Monsanto, who touts less usage of poisons is hauling in huge profits selling their poisonous cocktails. Roundup usage has gone up a whopping 21%. By 2011 farmers using round up ready seeds were using 24% more herbicides than farmers not using GMO!
GMO IS THE PANDORA'S BOX THAT WILL DESTROY THE WORLDS FOOD SUPPLY!

Monsanto owns a private army of mercenaries, formerly Black Water, now called Academi and uses these "soldiers of fortune" to harass and possibly murder farmers around the world. They must be fought with all means possible.

tdilla, so you are one of those people blinded by the propaganda? Scientists them self proven, that genetic manipulations causes more problems, including cancer and so on, not to mention the bees, those plants kill the bees and without the bees people will die as well. Feeding the humanity, you got me there, when did corporations helped to feed hungry? Theirs only concern is the profit. I feel sorry you, because of people like you, theirs influence increases, just like vaccine supporters.

And that is happening. The problem is uneducated people see GMO and automatically think it's bad, and that's simply just not true. Monsanto doesn't even really market products for consumers anyway. Much of their profits come from the plants themselves, not the bag of chips these labels would be on.

If you are so educated then, go ahead & educate us all.
Show us evidence that Monsanto`s GMO products are indeed safe as you say they are.
Uneducated or not, the consumer has a right to know what they are consuming.

Raul troche 09.01.2014 01:40

If it is safe why don't they allow Monsanto products to be sold in their own establishments? They tell you it's safe yet they won't consume them or allow them to be labeled. Too many politicians and government officials are/or have been on their boards and payroll. Remember, "The love of money is the root of all evil". Want to help? Don't buy Roundup!!!

Aga in, you don't understand. Mutation sounds bad, but if done correctly, yields superior organisms. That's evolution. It is, in essence playing god. Does that make it harmful to us? If it has the potential to help feed humanity, do you stop research because you don't want to offend god?

No , I don't think you understand "evolution" ;. Evolution occurs naturally and over a long period of time as it interacts and adapts to the environment. Splicing genes from fish and inserting them into plants; devastating the environment (especially bees) isn't evolution.

YES...w hen it is killing bees and many other species..

If like others say GMO is not dangerous, then why not label it as a GMO and let us decide if we want to consume it or Not ???

@tdilla "it's taking the best genes and accentuating them. This is NOT adding chemicals. This is breeding the best nature has to offer. "

Uhm, NO, It's Mutating Genes, It's Playing God.

Again, you don't understand. Mutation sounds bad, but if done correctly, yields superior organisms. That's evolution. It is, in essence playing god. Does that make it harmful to us? If it has the potential to help feed humanity, do you stop research because you don't want to offend god?

It seems the average RT reader has no idea what GMO's are. It stands for Genetically Modified Organism, meaning the genetic information has been manipulated to produce, in this instance, higher yield crops. This is exactly the same as animal husbandry, which we as a species have been doing for thousands of years...it's taking the best genes and accentuating them. This is NOT adding chemicals. This is breeding the best nature has to offer. Corn has been genetically modified for the past 20 years. Same with tomatoes.

Just because you don't understand something, doesn't mean it's wrong.

S.america. is big and yank long way from home. Accidents can happen. Other choice would be they murder us but i suppose some ppl gave in to that already. Lets get rid of them either.

Frank Kerssens 08.01.2014 21:35

All I can do is inform people, and grow vegetables myself and be self sustaining the best I can. And keep on telling people not to buy roundup and why. And pray for the well being of this little solar system.

If their food is safe for human consumption, why are they afraid to label it? Tells you everything you need to know right there.

How can they get away with this? Because the general populace will never get together, stand up and do something about it even at the cost of their own lives.

Just look at what we've become......

So sad but so true....

Michael Ferrullo 08.01.2014 20:51

Making big profits off the sickness and death of many...they should be ashamed of themselves, yet they gloat over their profits.

The people have no hope once their governments have sold out.

Poor latino people.. Monsanto bosses must be hanged for crime against humanity...God knows what affect these activities would have on the forests..
