if they are saying the send wavelenghts to measure lights from these planets that are 1000 light years away ,they are bullshiting, how long would it taake to get bac even if those planets still exsist

LOL..

T hey are measuring the wavelengths that have come from the planet. They aren't sending wavelengths out and bouncing them silly..

Eve rything we see in the universe originated at that specific location 10/100/1000/10000 light years ago.

Basically they are detecting that there WAS water on the planet in question 1000 years ago.

Nestles have just launched own space craft to put their flag on it and claim the water !

Sure it isn't Yank beer - it's often mistaken for water.

Hubbel has provided some fantastic views of the universe. "We" used to look @ the Stars from Palomar & Wilson.

Also, discovering the remnants of atmosphere & water on Mars...well, so many investigators from so many nations, that crucial proof is still needed.

Mandell's speculation and/or fabrication of "water" some where we'll never go...imho...it's to grab Headlines away from India, China & Russia and those space achievements: e.g. the 2 Life Modules @ ISS...Moon rockets, Mars rockets, et al.

Yes NASA makes contributions...but speculation that will never be demonstrated...okay. ..and, so will never be proven.

It's not much of a space race if the US is the only participant is it?

There are roughly 70 countries that have their own space agencies, established specifically for the exploration of space.

Won't b long before we attempt to colonize & we carve them planets up like Thanksgiving Turkey! A fence there, a nation here, just chop that new mother nature up, with a poliricsl & funancial system that rewards d most predatory & hiearchal ones! (Cant even cure d flu yet humans think they can occupy galaxies)We will start to drill, plant genetically modified plants & humans & POOF! BE just like home! Another hollowed out failed experiment looking for a new home to infect! LEAVE THEM PLANETS ALONE, TILL we evolve past our Savage tendencies!

Water equals life so then, life does exist on other planets.
"W hy don't they say that"

Of course, life does exists on other planets, already the comprehension of the Infinity says that. But since we have such a definition like ''light year'', the value of such discoveries is equal to nothing.
That's why we can only make a sigh. :)

Well it's a well-known fact that there is life on other planets. A more interesting question would be is there intelligent life within our reach?

Obviously Russia Never makes discoveries. Its always NASA. Ruissians are losers. Period.

But on the other hand Russia was the first to put an object into space. The first to put a man into space and the first spacewalk. The first to make a soft landing on the Moon and to send a craft to Venus. Their spacecraft are still in use while the US needs them to visit the ISS.

The US were the first to put a man on the Moon but by then Russia had decided that was a waste of time. It's not much of a space race if the US is the only participant is it?
