The American anti-missile system could pose some threat to Russia-US relations, but only in the future, notes John Isaacs, Executive Director at the Center for Arms Control and Non-Proliferation.

Isaacs recalls that “President Obama has said he will deploy the missile defence system if it is cost-effective and works. These are very important distinctions: “cost effective” and “it works” as there are many years before anything could be deployed.”
