It is going to be cold in Afghanistan pretty soon and the fighting will die down, so there won’t be a significant surge of troops before the spring offensive, argues Lawrence Korb from the Center for American Progress.

Keep going send them in, more the better. With 19% supporting the puppet 'president' you really have brought western style 'democracy' there! Mission complete. The French would have been delighted to have had this level of support when they ruled Vietnam. Will of the people, 19% wow great work team USA, after 200 years, you may get to the 30 - 40% level of Europe, western 'democracy' will of the bankers, benefit seekers and civil servants. Its what its all about! Talk is cheap, about as cheap and valuable as a western vote!
