Russia is as free as America. There they read anti American propaganda. In America we read about car accidents, obituaries, weather, local news, sports scores, economic news and Muslim suicide bombs.

I live in the US, and this is never discussed or even brought up (9/11 itself even). Russia is the only country in existence that actually covers it. I'm putting my bet on it being because Russia has the most effective and widespread intelligence agency in the world. The SVR have done their job well, I only hope Russia is not allowing America to trick it and buy it off.

I live in the U.S., and the only people who don't talk about this issue are the same people who have made this country an embarrassment in the world. "Keegan" is one of those people that doesn't really talk about anything important. There are a lot of people in this country who think U.S. propaganda and the bible are the "truth". They don't investigate anything.

@Sean Yes and here (US) we also read about what a great politician Yeltsin was, and things like our supporting the Nazi government in west Germany until the Berlin wall fell are never mentioned. Nor Yuschenko's (sp?) connections to Neo Nazi's and former SS paramilitaries.

I've been watching Russia today very closely and the events that they cover for a few months and I must say that I'm highly impressed with the job that they're doing. RT is bringing to the forefront, issues that western mainstream media dare not even mention. The main issue here being the events surrounding 9/11. Anyone who questions the official version of events on 9/11 will find out that there are a lot of things that don't add up. And when these facts are brought to the attention of the western press, rather than look at the facts they just discredit the person presenting the facts and call them names like "conspiracy nut" or "conspiracy wacko". Major credit goes to the management of Russia Today for confronting the issues that Western corporate media dare not expose. There are many other facts surrounding the incidents of 9/11 that the Western governments don't want the public to know about for fear of the horrible truth being exposed. It is my humble opinion that 9/11 was a terrible atrocity carried out by rogue elements within the US goverment to further US hegemony by launching and illegal war in Afghanistan and Iraq and also to further erode peoples freedom under the guise of protecting us from "Terrorists". By the way, on the FBI's most wanted list, Osama Bin Laden is not accused of masterminding the events of 9/11. Surprisingly. When they were asked why, they said they don't have any evidence. Hopefully, sometime in the future we will know the truth about who's really responsible.

Here are some facts surrounding the events on 9/11 that the mainstream western press would rather the public not know about. 1. Three buildings collapsed in the World Trade Center complex, not two as most people think. Building 7 was not hit by a plane, yet collapsed into it's own footprint. The reason a lot of people are not aware of building 7 is because it wasn't given major press coverage. Giving WTC building 7 coverage would prompt uncomfortable questions from the public. 2. The north and south towers were designed to withstand multiple impacts from a Boeing 707 which was the biggest airliner flying at the time of the buildings design. 3. Both towers collapsed in near freefall fashion in around 10 seconds. This defies the laws of physics for a structure made of steel and concrete. Both towers were literally pulverized into fine dust. It is impossible for this to happen from the effects of a plane impact and jet fuel. 4. The Bush administration did not want to investigate the 9/11 and only did so after being pressured by members of the public. 5.Out of the four hijacked planes on 9/11 none of the pilots managed to punch in the hijack code which would have notified the FAA as to what's going on. 6. Hani Hanjour who allegedly hijacked Flight 77 had logged zero hours in a Boeing 757 and according to his instructor was rubbish in a Cessna which is a light aircraft, then goes on to fly the 757 in spiral dive, a manouvre that would give experienced pilots a tough time and then carry on to hit the Pentagon with pinpoint precision. 7. No major wreckage that suggests a 757 airliner crashed at the Pentagon was found. 8. CCTV tapes from a nearby gas station that would have picked up whatever hit the Pentagon were confiscated by US government officials soon after the incident and have never been seen in public.

Sad but true. America is a constitutional republic in name only. We, as the rest of the world, have been taken over by the corporate power. We work for them and must submit to their control or become outcasts in our own country. I too turn to other countries news sites for uncensored information. As for 911, it's just another in a long list of false flag and illegal acts instigated by the national security state that sees all and knows all.

One, nut job Americans. I guarantee you this same group of people has a conspiracy theory concerning the governments of every major country in the world. My comment was that I believe, that 9/11 and the 1999 Moscow bombings were the same thing - a false-flag attack carried out by each countries secret service, in order to gain public support for the government and its cause. It's very unfortunate for the masses that real conspiracies do exist. That's the painful truth that most people cannot face. I would ask now what people think about yesterday terrorist attack on moscow metro. isn't true that most of all terror attacks are own secret services made?it would not be the first time (see 9/11 and many of terrorists acts in my country - italy- made by the famous "brigate rosse"....do you know Gladio?). so i think that this channel is good because they can show recent events in different point of view (and i like it), but when they have to manage with the same things in russian territory they suddenly approve the official version. without any doubt. they are free like western channel when they speak openly about bad countries (for washington) making superb investigations and the minute after they are like dummies in front of 9/11 events happily drinking from official version.

@jbassplayer 1. The collapse of WTC7 was broadcast live on TV. If WTC 7 had been hit by a plane would that explain why it fell? Apparently not since the other buildings were hit by planes by that seems not to have anything to do with them collapsing. If WTC 7 had collapsed in it's own footprint then the buildings that it fell onto would not have had to be demolished. 2. Designed to. The Titanic was designed not to sink, the Tacoma bridge was designed not to collapse in a strong wind. How many 707s could have crashed into the twin towers? Multiple- 3? 5? 34? . Was this design feature ever tested? - before 911 when 1 high speed 767 was enough. Maybe when an experiment has been done that has never been done before you should consider you will learn something from it and not say 'that's not the result I would have expected from that experiment- I refuse to accept the result.' 3. If it defied the laws of physics then there would be no arguement from anyone about it. Were explosive charges placed in every piece of concrete, every square foot of concrete floor in order to pulverise everything into fine dust?

They were investigating from hour one ,day one. The 911 Report consists of evidence that was uncovered by the FBI,the CIA ,FAA , Port Authority , FEMA ,NORAD and all the other agencies involved. Where do you think all the information came from? 5. Imagine when you were typing that someone came up behind you with a knife and slashed your throat. Would be going ' file' -'save as'- ' RT comment' - 'save'.... 6. Why would an experienced pilot be flying a 757 like that? -doing an ill advised spiral dive that he would know was unsafe? Pinpoint accuracy suggests you know where he was trying to hit the Pentagon. Where was he trying to hit it? He almost hit the ground , smashed into lightpoles and almost demolished a generator - was that what he was planning to do? 7. How long did you spend in the Pentagon clearing up afterwards?
