Everyone talks of the Gaffe, every one talks of keeping his mouth shut. Well that is the whole point, the guy is intelligent and says the truth. That is his failing in political terms, that is the Gaffe, not being able to think one thing and say another. Well actually Biden is doing us a favour, he is actually telling the worlld what the US position is. Yes, no one likes it because he is not politically correct, people want someone who just says the right things, gaffe free they would call it. But gaffe free, keeping your mouth shut isn't truthful. Let's not lambast this guy, at least he tells it straight from the hip, as to what the US plans are. You can call him an idiot, just because he gives the game away, and didn't maintain the lie. However, for us, at least it set the positions straight. We now know what we are dealing with. We had hopes, but OK we now know the reality. Things can change, but now there is negative confidence in the equation, so much so, that it may be impossible to move forward with this US administration. The ball is now as always firmly in the US court, however, rather than waiting, we now will move to a new position, and the US will have to think where it wants to be. Because now we are further apart than we were some weeks ago.

Totally agree again with my friend from the RF, America is bewildered and in debt to the tune of 10 trillion + USD ... it is asking Russia for favors globally, Afghan Conflict, the ISS and space transport for the next 7 years and duty on the high seas for piracy. Add nonproliferation and reduction in offensive nukes and we get all Russia giving while the US saves its cash from an air corridor across the entire southern half of the Russian Federation. After Biden's comments, it's clear the USA has nothing to give back to the RF except rhetoric about the pro-West Ukrainian Territory, Georgian and Eastern European Russophobic diatribe. Moscow, Minsk and Kiev wakeup and find your common Kievan Rus and Soviet brotherhood and put the past behind you - uniting to contain the Anglo-American ... USA neoglobal imperialist hegemony is and should be the plan for the next 7 years not Obamadrama worship!

Ozzy - Spot on, and this is the time for Russia to stand up, not in aggression, not in hate, not in arrogance, but it is the time for it to stand as a strong individual with its eastern brothers around it. Brotherhood is the word, not control, recognosing our cultural and lingusitic roots. But as well as standing as brothers we also need stand as a rock together for the rest of the world. For all are free to join us. There are no gentlemens clubs here. It is not an easy job to do, with such a gang of thugs pelting stones. But we are more than capable together of the challenge. Some have chosen the wrong way, but they will sooner or later find this out, and then the door will still be open, because we are interested in construction, we are interested in inclusiveness. There are no closed doors from us, if you will treat yourself and others as a bounded equal nation in this world, and not seek control over another. Then our arms are open. There is a clear choice now provided by Russia, a choice of being an independent state, existing with whatever government you choose, trading fairly and sitting as equals on the rock without ideological and financial exploitation, or the western way of being opened by a knife, having your organs removed and remaining as a husk on life support, while the western finaciers gorge on your entrails. The choice is simple and free, we don't need anyone else, but welcome everybody with honest intentions and integrity. Remember we held our hand out to the US!
