Postponing President Obama’s meeting with the Dalai Lama means the US is now turning to China, whose support it needs on a number of international issues, believes political analyst James Pinkerton.

“Most important are probably financial relations between China and the United States,” said Pinkerton. “Presumably they have ambitions for the Chinese to help them on climate change, Iran and so on. And they’ve made a calculation: Look, China can help us with those problems but the Dalai Lama cannot.”

The US President will meet the Tibetan leader after his November visit to Beijing for talks with Chinese President Hu Jintao.

This is a question that Obama should be asked directly. Only he can answer the question as to why he is ignoring the Dalai Lama. There could be numerous reasons Dalai Lama too peaceful, religious reasons, political reasons, etc. anyone's guess.

They will know we are Christians by the way that we love. We show compassion for the oppressed. We as a Christian nation know how it is to be tortured because of your religious beliefs. The people of the US are taught tolerance. It says in our bible that we see through a glass darkly but when that which is perfect does return to our world then we see his glory face to face. How do we know that our Gods are not the same? Why do we fight over religion? It is a matter of belief. It is a matter of how one views the world. As a mother I teach my children to respect all religious beliefs.

Dallai Lama was a victim of his wrong decisions. He is a religious leader, he shouldn't be after political power. Tibet belongs to China. Instead of conforming to the legislation of China, he turned into a common CIA agent just to keep his political power. He let USA use him in many ways. He helped the anti-christian plans of USA and he made Buddism a main part of CIA's "New Age" project against Christianity. He "played dirty" because he used USA's mass media system and the money and dark mechanisms that Uncle Sam provided. Promotion campains on TV and Karate movies that propagandised Buddism and other Eastern Religions are some examples. We even saw Buddist propaganda in ... porn movies (e.g. Emanuelle)!!! As a result many Christians defected to Buddism because they were brainwashed by the TV and cinema. Now it is time to pay, because the God does not bless dirty play and evil plans. And also bad guys like USA, betray their allies when they have no more use of them. So now that he isn't needed any more, he is simply dismissed. Let this be a warning for Saakashvilly, Yushenko, the Estonian nazis and many others...
