While international investigators have accused North Korea of sinking a South Korean patrol corvette in March, China has taken a more cautious position.
Investigative journalist and RT contributor Wayne Madsen says it is because Beijing suspects there was greater deception at work.
“The Cheonan [navy corvette] was sunk by this torpedo that was later to be discovered to have been of German manufacture. Germany said it sells no military weapons to North Korea. This thing is starting to look like a classic false flag operation,” Wayne Madsen says.
“Kim Jong-Il who very rarely travels – and when he does, he only travels by train – went to Beijing. My sources in Beijing say that he went to Beijing, that Chinese authorities said that North Korea did this, he denied it. They were satisfied with his response,” Madsen adds. “Now the Chinese are very suspicious of the US’ intentions in richening things up in the Korean peninsula.”

Ivan S., how many possibilities exist for the latest headline today, " North Korean border guard 'shoots three Chinese dead. China has made a formal complaint to North Korea, a spokesman for the Chinese foreign ministry said."
3. (This is least likely scenario in my opinion) An Israeli Submarine intentionally launched a live torpedo at the "Cheonan" with the goal of directing blame against North Korea and causing a war in which Iran could lose a major supplier of missile and other technologies if North Korea is defeated and occupied. 4. During the Military exercises a US/ South Korean missile or shell accidentally hit the "Cheonan" causing an internal explosion which sank the ship. 5. (The most likely scenario) The "Cheonan" was sunk by a mine. Mine fields remain even when the wars in which they were laid ended long ago. It could have been an old mine or it could have been a recently laid mine with a purpose to block North Korean ships/submarines from entering that area. Or possibly the mine was intentionally put in place to destroy a South Korean ship to blame on North Korea. The mine that could have been responsible is an American made Mark(Mk.) 67 mobile(self-propelled) mine, it uses the tail section of a torpedo to move and deploy in a specific location, hours, weeks, or months before a target arrives at the location. 6. The "Cheonan" ran aground and broke apart from the impact. To prevent public anger it was blamed on North Korea.

GaryMax North Korea made an official apology to China. North Korean Borderguards opened fire on an un-identified boat trying to enter North Korean territory, considering the situation North Korea is obviously monitoring its border to prevent any unwanted guests from the CIA or US Military from entering. According to the North Koreans the Chinese citizens killed were not fishermen but black market smugglers.
