Is North Korea making another weapon altogether?

North Korea appears to be determined to trouble the water these days, but are those just circles on the surface it is creating, or will we soon find ourselves in the deep end?

If is prooven beyond any doubt that German torpedo sunk Chonan means:N.Korea got nothing to do with this, someone else sunk S.Korea ship on purpose to accuse N.Korea ! At first in news was that ser.number of N.Korea torpedo-part is found and now this about Gemany torpedo! Are N.Korea,Russia,China part of this international tim of investigators or not? If not who is this internalional tim of invesigators? Some states are able to do self harm( I dont think that S.Korea did this-most likely some third party is involved) so they got excuse to divert attencion from others things or simply to make war between Sout and North Korea! Looking at all of this I am not at all suprise why China take more cautious position or why China is suspicious.....Thanke you.

I think the crucial point is that this was not an "international investigation": Russia was not included, China was not included. The media is must accept part of the blame by repeating false and misleading claims and quick conclusions of the investigation of the attack on the South Korean ship that concluded the ship was Torpedo by North Korea. Let us look at some of the changes that took placed since this sad and unfortunate event. Japan no longer demands that U.S bases leave Japan. The Prime Minister of Japan cited increased tension in the Korean Peninsula as the main reason why he decided to prolong the U.S bases in Japan. Russia did the right thing when it quickly send a team of navy experts to South Korea to conduct their own investigation. However, Russia’s response to this crisis is very slow. Russia should have demanded to be included in the team of investigators in the first instance. The whole Russia-U.S "reset button" is an elaborate game to make Russia weak in responding to global crisis. Now, if indeed it turns out that the weapons used in this crime was made in Germany [Germany has a history of doing this type of horrific high crimes of the seas in WWII, i.e. U-Boats], then Russia must push hard to find out who is really behind this deadly false flag crime. There can be no reset of global peace when the world is at the brink of WWIII.

This is an interesting development, I was kinda expecting this 'cause I don't see what interest N.Korea would have in sinking a S.Korean vessel and risking war... they will be crushed in a war easily. Am I the only one who thinks this looks a little like the Tonkin Bay insident?

We read in the news of airborne drones, and land based drones. In that verification is not at hand, I can only ask does anyone know anything about undersea drones? It seems knowing of our modern technologies these would very efficient and possibly able to stay at sea for more than a year at a time (a comparison may be a satellite orbiting earth). Any of at least ten (10) Countries could make these undersea drones. In this investigation, I hope Russia and the United States are able to speak with each other; not just to each other about Korea. This North-South Korean situation is literally ridiculous for so many years (posturing, flexing muscles, etc.) - President Calderon of Mexico had a suggestion related to the Mexican Border with the United States. If implemented in Korea, this Korean situation would disappear. If this was an old boat as reported, rusty water leaking onto aluminum combined with several other ingredients and __________ could possibly explode as a bomb sinking this boat. The reported torpedo seems to have been very inefficient for much of it is intact. I thought, and maybe someone can tell me, in a conventional warhead it is desired for the torpedo to pierce the hull of the boat so the torpedo explodes inside of the boat. I can only ask, why would a competent weapons manufacturer would want so much of a torpedo to remain intact, instead of adding to destroying its target (one might compare a 5.56 bullet shot through a 7.62 barrel)? It will be interesting to find what knowledgeable people are able to determine rather than my unknowledgeable questions? Good luck to all in our Modern World…………

Well lets see... Who has a history of creating false flag attacks to push an agenda? My guess would be Israel and/or the USA. This imperialism crap must stop. The peoples of the world are tired of unending wars and conflicts. The UN and NATO were supposed to put a stop to wars when in fact the do just the opposite. These people are always speaking of peaceful ways to resolve problems, then why is there ever no peace? Because people don't start wars, governments do. Truth be told, there would be no wars if people would just refuse to fight and kill. The people of the worlds armies are nothing more than pawns for those in power and the globe is nothing more than a giant chess board to those in power. It has always been this way. It's time for the masses to wake up and grow up. There's no excuse for taking another life, none whatsoever. Stop playing their game, stop giving away your power to those in charge and they will have no power over you. This world in which we live could be paradise if you will just let it be. Stop trying to control one another and start working together as it is supposed to be. Blessings and Peace to All!

If a third party has been involved in the killing of 46 South-Korean sailors; the TRUTH must be known to the whole World and the culprits brought to justice (preferably to the Hague World Court House). So far, the evidence of a self inflicted crime are thin, but we must admit than certain countries' spying agencies have done worst than that. Also Western Military Industrial Complex won't give up so easily all that money to be made, while spreading fear and insecurity ; knowing that in the past 60 years, not a single politician had the courage to mention that infamy. If there was such a machination; it will show to Russian leaders and many others how sincere are the US-NATO bunch (most of all, their boss: Mr Medvedev's buddy; the Great-Guy Obama)...Sincerely...JCM

Remember battle ships have thick steel--and just found the parts, just luck Atta's walet was found in the rubble on 911 attacks. Does it stink to high hell? Sure does to me :^/

More and more this is looking a case of false flag operation. Number of websites, including influential Canada based Globaresearch.ca, have reported credible analyses that incident could have been a false flag operation. As I and others have noticed, this incident has altered the Japan's decision to move U.S.A. military bases out of Japan. Now, the U.S.A bases are going to be stationed in that country in the foreseeable future. This did not go well with the people of the Island of Okinawa and the decision to prolong American military bases in this overcrowded island is bring acute political crisis to Prime Minister Yukio Hatoyama's fragile coalition government . Already, as this report by Radio program the Voice Of Russia , some of smaller parties are leaving Hatoyama’s government because of his betrayal of the people of Okinawa. The U.S empire, as with all empires, is the last to noticed that its oppressive and dominating ways are not universally admired and that the Japanese had enough of U.S military occupation. Equally important is that this incident has destroyed 60 years process of reconciliation and peace building between North and South Korea. This is why it is pertinent to find out that whether North Korea is behind this incident. If not N. Korea, then, who else might be behind this diabolical incidence. If indeed, it turns out that the weapon used in the sinking of the S. Korean boat in question was made in Germany and that Germany has not sold this weapon to North Korea. The next logical step is who may have this weapon but also had the opportunity to be in the area where the incidence took place. http://english.ruvr.ru/2010/05/30/8739830.html

Looks very like political opportunism piggy-backing on a maritime accident. I have compiled a summary on my blog if anyone is interested. At the moment I am updating it daily and the evidence is mounting. South Korean Government has gagged two prominent commentators, including one of the original inspectors of the wreck. http://brewerstroupe.blogspot.com/2010/05/blog-post.html

Israel is in a dire need to divert the international attention away from Isreali nuclear stockpile and the treatment of helpless Palestinians being slaughtered at rendom by the Jews, that's the whole set up of alegedly North Corean torpedo. Just look who carried out the so called international investigation of the incident, those counrties are staunched allies to US and Israel. That's not international but Unilateral under the orders of US and Israel.

krka If the state of Israel ordered the sinking of the South Korean boat in question, it has done so because she was told to do it.. So far the biggest beneficent of this accident is the United States that got to keep its military bases in Japan. We are still waiting what the Russian experts uncover. Israeli state does not do anything that is not approved by the United States. If President Obama wants to end the illegal blockade against Gaza, he can order Israel to end this horrific crime against humanity. As for you citing the ‘Jews” did this, I strongly object to your assertion. Egypt is also engaged in the blockade against the Palestinians. Saudi Arabia supplies cheap oil to the U.S but it has not demanded the U. S to force Israel to end the inhumane blockade against the Palestinians. Today, there are more Jews fighting for the just rights of the Palestinians today than any other ethnic group in the United States. If you want to talk about the ideology of Zionism, that is different issue.

PR101 What is the most burning issue today on the Planet? World without nuclear weapons. USA does not need diversion of its home and international community about its bases in South Korea because no one is questioning it. But Israel badly needs the diversion about its recently revealed nuclear stockpile especially after the New York’s nuclear summit declaration for a Middle East free of nuclear weapons, calling on Israel to declare all of its nuclear stock piles and put it under the safeguard if IAEA, with the approval of US government. Can you imagine what does this mean for Israel? It means that Israel lost its protector with the power of veto at all institutions and the whole World is watching now at Israel. If Israel can provoke a conflict on a regional scale involving the interests of US, Russia and China, antagonistic fillings will emerge in the US public opinion and US will block the resolution of Middle East. The international community has invited Israel to join the nations as equal partner for prosper and wellbeing and now it is up to Israel what path it will choose, because either Palestinian or a Jew all are equal.

US special forces shot the vessel. The reason is simple. US army and NATO are weak and still weakening because of the defeats in modern querilla wars in Iraq and in Afganistan. USA will sell its nuclear armament to Japan in order to be able to continue isolating Russia militarily and in order to be able to challange and disturb Russia-China economic-military colaboration.

Ern The pattern you have outlined is most plausible scenario when we think carefully who had the opportunity and apriori objective to commit this crime in the high seas. In addition to the scenario you have outlined, it is my strong haunch that NATO and the U.S at least give tacit support to terrorism against Russia in the Caucuses and massive drug flow from Afghanistan to Russia. It is clear that new Opium war and terrorism in Caucuses are part of overall strategy to weaken Russia. Of course, we do not know what behind scenes counter strokes Russia is making but in front of the scenes, Medvedev made, in my humble view, number of blunders. One of them is his aloofness toward China and the Muslim world and even Turkey. Yes, President Medvedev made visits to Turkey. He also met the leaders of China, Turkey Brazil. But in these meetings, Mr. Medvedev comes across as aloof, businesslike where as he comes across as a child in the company of his Rock Star Idol when he is with Obama! I find this hard to bear at times and I am not against warm relations between Russia and the United States. In fact, I am for it.

This whole story seems premature for RT. The Russian naval contingent is in South Korea NOW studying the evidence. It is going to be interesting to see what they say...if we EVER get to see it. China is also supposed to be studying the evidence too. Will we ever get to see their conclusions? Maybe not in either case if they are convinced that the "already drawn conclusions" are most probably correct. We are waiting for that story RT.
