A high-ranking former official in the Bush Administration has admitted that many of the prisoners held at Guantanamo Bay were innocent.
In order for Bush to justify his invasion of Afghanistan and Iraq to the American people, he had to scoop up people and accuse them of being either Al Qaeda or "terrorists". Bush's claims of Iraq possessing WMD was proven to be false, so all he had left was to stuff Guantanamo with "terrorists" whether they were innocent or not. And, the American people cheered and cheered their "Mission Accomplised" president. American military is in a trap both in Afghanistan and Iraq, and Obama isn't intelligent enough to get out. Sad state of affaires for America.
