With their country almost on its knees, increasing numbers of Americans are sticking to their guns. The fear of crime is on the rise, and arms are selling like hot cakes.
We the awakened citizen and military understand whats going on... Not on my watch!!! We will not give up our civil liberties we will not give up our Constitution nor our Bill of Rights!!! You want'em come get'em!!!! From my cold dead hands!!!
2nd Amendment, I find it amuzing that you and so many others feel that way in the US. I can understand such bravery coming from someone who has unregistered guns, but if your guns are registered, the day they want to take them away all the have to do is send the police knocking on your door, they know just were most if not all of the gunowners live and they will come to get your guns when and if they ever wanted to. This is how it has happened in other countries. And you, my friend,s won't be so brave when you have several squad cars parked in front of your house. You will surrender your weapon. It's really that simple.
Andrew, At least in this state, long guns and shotguns do not have to be registered. You can just walk in and buy one.
In almost every state you can buy and sell guns that are not fully automatic (machine guns) like you can any other property. They are just that, personal property. As to when the oppressive government come looking to take our guns away... they should remember what happen to the British when they tried that 250 years ago.

Americans are NOT afraid of crime. That's nonsense. Americans are afraid that our government will pass unconstitutional laws, undermining our Second Amendment RIGHT. If you talk to a journalist, you'll get nonsense, but if you talk to the American people, they'll tell you what worries them, and why they are buying all the guns and ammunition they can. Democratic politicians and bureaucrats pose a grave threat to the Second Amendment, and always have, and now that they have so much power in Washington, DC, Americans are taking prudent measures to insure that WE, the PEOPLE, remain the most powerful component of our political system, not corrupt and inept politicians and bureaucrats.
It's very easy to buy a gun "legally" (to me any American not incarcerated, should be able to buy guns at will without red tape). It is a wholly different matter to carry them legally and employ them for self defense. That is where the "gun control" fails to control anything but people who are afraid of draconian laws and oppressive government more than the average robbers and street thugs.
Wow! That's a relaly neat answer!

Eric, you may have to work a little harder on that. From outside America, it looks like the population is largely controlled by the media and more subtle, yet powerful forces. To no one in the outside world does it look as though you remain the most powerful component in your political system. It looks to us as though you lost that long ago and are fighting these days for the scraps. I would really hate to have been the first person to tell you this...

there should be no criticism nor rebuke about any individual buying a gun or indeed a mini-gun.
