The leader of the Cuban revolution Fidel Castro is questioning why the U.S. and other countries sent soldiers to quake-ravaged Haiti.
According to RIA Novosti News Agency, Castro wrote in an article on Sunday that “without anyone knowing how or why, Washington dispatched troops to occupy Haitian territory and other nations followed suit.”
Castro said that “neither the United Nations nor the government of the United States has offered an explanation to the people of the world'' for sending soldiers.
Castro noted that “several governments'' complained that the troop presence kept them from landing aid flights in Haiti, saying it “complicated international cooperation.'' He called on the U.N. to investigate.
He also wrote that Cuban specialists were not experiencing any problems with getting to Haiti until now.
“We send our doctors, not our soldiers,” Castro added.

What we need now in Haiti ,is to have back our gold reserve and all the money that the USA has taken from that country when they have occupied it in 1915. Since, they have distroyed everything to sell their products.Their last one was the PIGS.The ''HELP" they give is administration for themselves and products bought from the USA.We have thousands of ONG in Haiti, they have been there for many years if they were helping, that country won't still be the second poorest country. Please now give us a BREAK.
It is very funny but sad to notice that nobody seem to understand the strategical importance (effectiveness rather) of Haiti's location..... While some even show great ignorance by defending this 'move' by the US 'Government', others are still strugling to see why. I hear arguments like 'oil', 'resources', etc. None of that .... If you follow the news and situations on Venezuela and it's neigbouring countries, you will understand how having Haiti, as another satellite in that area, will make certain new situations there much easier. Think, for example, of the death of mister Castro in Cuba. Did you really think this would go simply unnoticed? That nothing will happen on the background besides what you see on (mainstream) media? How about any direct or in-direct millitary conflict with Venezuela, with Mr. Chavez being head of state..... Sorry, lets get back to reality now. Let's watch some television. Aawww look at these sad hungry people from Haiti... But thank god, there are the Americans! even a lot of soldiers! God bless..... Regards, Sebastiaan

All peoples primary drive is to survive. If a person is hungry and sees food, they will want it. If that food is owned by someone we can work for that person (for the food) or we can just take the food (if we are able to). My country is run by the ultra wealthy, for no ones benefit but their own. They have already created laws that allows them to move their money offshore, and they are advertising this as the new world order. My country has been building a large civilian spy business to maintain control of the populace should the people start waking up. For instance, this letter, my being here at this site, is all being saved by civilian agencies to databases for data mining. Every website a person visits, every email sent is recorded and saved for analysis. over 800,000 top secret clearances have been issued for this task alone. Same thing with Iraq. My country uses civilians to do things for military so it is more difficult to prosecute. (If it is against the law to do something, then get someone else to do it for you.) Cuban aide received no press because the last thing a thief wants is to have their wealth (which they worked so long and hard to steal) taken. Karl Marx was so correct about the necessity of the means of production being in the hands of the people. We also have to acknowledge that one fourth of Americans are in need of better mental health. (Two wolves and a sheep voting on what to eat tonight.)
