Why doesn't the government give up the same healthcare benefits they enjoy? If this were an option, I wouldn't be so opposed to it. If the government doesn't want to take for themselves the healthcare package they're trying to push on us, why should we believe it's any good? I thought they worked for those who elected them, not the other way around.

The American government is not gonng to be satisfied until it takes over every aspect of all Americans lives. In a way this is what the people are readily accepting. Americans have gone along with almost every stupid scheme that politicians have dreamed up. Most of this garbage makes absolutely no sense. An example is the cash for clunkers crap. This stupid scheme resulting in the distruction of over 450,000 good usable cars and trucks. Do these overpaid bureauctats not understand that a lot of Americans would have been glad to have one of these vehicles rather than destroying them? How many Americans that could not afford a new car were lured into making an unwise purchase that may be repossed when they can't make the payments. The main beneficiary of this dumb scheme was not American car manufacturers but Japan [toyota and honda]. How stupid can we get? Are we going for full blown socialism? Even worse, will it eventially lead to a communist take over of America? Americans are still in a long sleep and dont want to be inconvenienced by being awakened. They respond favorably to any talking head motor mouth regardless of the total lack of common sense coming out of that vile mouth.

Don't you people realize you are venting on a Russian website? Do you really want to spread your false accusations to non USA lands? You sound just as hysterical and misinformed on a foreign webpage as you do in US. You are probably the same people who believe that Russia invaded Georgia.@@ go home.

Americas health care in US is deplorable. This month, our health insurance--Blue Cross Blue Sheild raised our monthly premium to $767 per month for a family of 3. It was $599.00 My family can not afford this!!! It is a 30% increase each month. I called Blue Cross many many times to find out "why" our familly plan went up 30%,. We are healthy. We have no claims. I wrote letters to the company. The only reason I was given for the outrageous increase was " escalating costs". My family is fighting this claim. But no one seems to listen. Americans continue to pay and pay and pay. We can't anymore. Europe has great health care plans that are NOT Socialized medicine. You can choose your doctor, you can choose your insurance company. You have many choices. "For-Profit" insurance MUST STOP!!!! It is making Americans broke. My message is to educate Americans and the world about what is going on in America. thank you

A market oriented healthcare tends to favour the richer part of the population. A more socialized approach tends to favour the poorer class of the society. Now the richer people are a lesser amount is every nation. This pyramid clearly shows that democracy does not work in USA. The fault lies in it's lobby system, wich favor the most rich and wealthy mega corporations. Part of the fault lies within the populace themselves also. They suffer from an extreme form of socialist fobia. Solidarity stems from a goodly heart, a desire to help your neighbour. Such people are ready to compromise and use a little of socialism for the sake of a good hearth. It has now been proved that corporate greed creates a hard heart. If the people are successful in removing the lobby, perhaps democracy could grow stronger in USA?
