Amiri Baraka, a poet and political activist, spoke with RT about communism as a perfect system, as well as about detainee torture in the US and reasons behind America not preventing the 9/11 tragedy.
If the U.S. becomes communist or socialist, I'll just become the next Jean Lafitte.
Only people who didn`t experience communism on their own skin could say such things.
I`m not a communist, I dont see how such a system could work properly. However, communism has never really existed in this world, not even in the USSR. The leaders behind the January revolution in 1917, especially Stalin, said that they could use every option available in order to establish a true communist state... It is common sense that all they wanted was power to themselves, not the people. I like the system in the US, with free speech and free trade, but the last one needs some regulations. And the democracy is endangered by the fact that the president candidates seem to be paid lobbyists. But communism in the US would never work, and would only profit some few. Well said about zionism though, a jewish state in the middle of palestine is a joke... Religious states in general are a bad thing in my view.
Communism used to be around a long time ago, and it worked fine then but it is outdated today. Hunter-gather groups were a communist society.
Communism was just a front system as a means of control a total fraud like this war on terror. Since it's inception it has been financed by the wealthiest banking families in the world and major financial business personalities like Armand Hammer who made huge profits trading with the USSR. Czarist Russia was a geopolitical rival to Britain so Marx devised a system to exploit the economic situation in the empire and eliminate Russian Orthodox Christian nationalism. The problem is we have a soft-core Marxism in the West. We have a progressive tax system like Marx advocated, a central bank pretty much the abolition of Christianity (does any western leader advocate Christianity, why is there no Christian symbols in the White House) and globalisation one world government.
The real communism is NOT the totalitarian regime of the USSR. USA's capitalism could be much harder than even the "communism" of the USSR, especially if you had the bad luck to be poor. Financial oppression is worse than political oppression. When you eat from the trash, you don't care about free speech. Armand Hammer did NOT "make huge profits trading with the USSR". He traded with the USSR with great personal cost because he was a communist and member of CPUSA (CPUSA was destroyed by the "American hero" Edgar Hoover and his "glorious" FBI). Hammer lost his money (because of USA's secret services that had a mission to destroy it) and returned to USA. He learnt his lesson and the second time he paid the mafia gang named "Republican Party of USA" for "protection" and the secret services left him alone... I wonder why Britain allied with Czarist Russia against both Germany and Bolshevic revolution. Therefore this about Marx and Britain is just a fairy tale. Marxism has nothing to do with the de-christianisation of W. Europe. Marxists have no power to do such a thing in the capitalist West. The de-christianisation of W. Europe is a highest priority project of the NWO and the CIA created many cults and revived many "dead" ancient religions and imported many religions from the far east to cause a religious comfusion to christian nations. This is what we call the "New Age". There was NEVER true democracy and free speech in the West. During the cold war, if you spoke too much you would pay for your foolishness. In the USA, companies, lobies, zionists, masonic sects and secret services make democracy a bad-tasted joke... Ergatis
You know why "true" communism cannot work? It looks great on paper, even works fine in theory. However, communism does not, will not and is incapable of factoring in HUMAN NATURE. That is why no political system really works according to its own precepts. Human nature is the monkey wrench that throws it out of whack. And to admit that, to dwell on what that really means destroys all systems. Thus there never being any meaniingful dialogue.
I agree with Ergatis completely, I want to add my opinion that the US -IS- a vicious dictatorship of "capital". It doesn't ship people off the the gulag it just leaves them in the streets to freeze, starve and have all their assets reclaimed by the banks that gave the loan for them to aquire their housing with in the first place. The US has dropped more bombs on the world than any other country especially the nuclear, and people don't mind because they think its "for freedom". All the free speech in the world won't save people from this oppression.

I watched the interview with Baraka and it was really nice!!! I learnt many new things. ;)
