The geopolitics and economy is changing and at a very fast pace. Israel cannot sustain its dominance in that region, and I think it is coming to a close. The Arabs are now realising that it is their money that is keeping Israel in power and dominant in the region. The US will not be able to sustain their support for the Israelis indefinitely with the current Global economic crisis faced by countries with high borrowing. Israel's export is not enough to sustain it's military ventures outside of Israel. Iran is an ambitious country but because of the mentality of Arabs and Iranians, it is difficult to see how Iran can dominate the region, there is disunity all over the region even when they share the same parent religion, because of this disunity it will be difficult to see Iran dominating the region. There are fears and there are real fears, and Iran dominating the region is not included in that. Israel attacking Iran is going to spell the accelerated end of Israel, Iran will retaliate with a vengeance, I don't think the West have the stomach for another war in the Middle East, no matter how much sabre rattling the EU and US may do. The bottom line is that they cannot afford it, and after a long struggle, the public is now looking at dealing with issues closer to home. Russia and China is ascending, and there is nothing the West can do about it, they will try, but they will be disappointed.

If Israel strikes out, I would certainly hope that we would help and attack at least five targets nuclearly and stop this situation in its tracks. Jordan, Saudi Arabia [Mecca], Iran, Iraq, and the Area between Pakistan, and Afganistan. Anything else is just an evasive action and putting off the inevitable. War is war, and it seems like we have forgotten how to fight them. The Arabs are direct and clear that anyone who is not Islamic, is the enemy and should be killed.....how clear can it be?

Israel is to be admired, especially considering what has happened to the Jewish people throughout history and particularly in the past 80 years. The world has little regard for the Jewish people, much less the acceptance of a Jewish State. Many people in the United Sates have little knowledge of the history of Israel and the situation that Jews have to deal with on a day by day basis. It is very sad for me when I know the region and have a good understanding of the trials that Israel endures everyday. I know that Israel can't trust any other nation in the world. U.S. and Britain sided with the Arab States on many occasions and still couldn't defeat the Jewish people. The hand of God Himself intervened for Israel and gave them the right people to lead, to fight, to outsmart their enemies time and time again. There is a reason for this. God Promised the land for Israel I've never been to Israel, but someday I'll Go. . I believe that Israel not only has the right to defend themselves without the approval of any Nation on Earth, it is their duty and honor to defend the land that God Himself gave to them & their children. If Iran threatens Israel, You protect yourselves and the families that God has blessed you with.. All nations have a demonic hatred and jealousy of Israel, but stand strong and know that God is with you!.

I agree with you Stan Heitbrink. But I don't believe Israel will receive any assistance from the U.S., Britain or any other nations. But they can do the job themselves. But once Iran is attacked by Israel it will have to be a multi nation strike because of the danger of reprisal. Especially important will be to control and contain Lebanon, Syria, Jordan and saudi Arabia. Lebanon and Syria because of the close proximity to Israel whereby they could literally lob missiles over the border loaded with Iranian payloads and Jordan and saudi Arabia for the stun factor. Cut off the head and the body falls. I don;t believe that Israel will have any logistical problems dealing with Iran or any of the other nations involved because they have very advanced systems. I believe the world will be stunned at the speed of the operation. It will be like something the world has never seen. But , unfortunately very necessary. I'm actually very disappointed with the U.S. invading Iraq because they did it to interfere with Israel's part of the world, and Israel can certainly take care of themselves. But when it does happen, the U.S. would be wise to stand down.

I think that Iran will never initiate any step forward until some body harm them as Iran's history said.
